Solar Power Heating
Solar hot water systems are divided into two main types of system. We can supply, install and maintain all types of solar power heating systems on the Costa Blanca.
Self contained systems
These systems consist of solar panels with a hot water tank mounted above. These systems use the Thermosiphon principle to collect heat from the sun and transfer it to water tank. This means the liquid in the panels is circulated by hot water rising, heating the tank and re-entering the panels from the bottom. These systems can also have an additional electric element fitting to boost hot water production on cloudy days. This type of system is the most cost effective to install but it is only used to heat hot water.
Multi panel systems
These systems consist of a number of panels connected to a large tank by an internal coil. The liquid in the panels is circulated by a pump controlled by temperature sensors. This system can be added upon to include more panels, to heat a heat exchanger for a swimming pool or a second coil for under floor heating or both. When using this system to heat more than one source hot water production is always given priority.
